Lesson Plans for Educators

The CELL provides free standards-based lesson plans for classes in civics, history, geography, criminal justice and more. These lesson plans are designed to complement our educational programming as extensions to a 365 National Security Event or a CELL Exhibit tour.

Our workshops address the challenges of teaching difficult content and explore interdisciplinary connections to your curriculum and Common Core standards through CELL Exhibit tours, hands-on activities and group discussion. Workshops are designed for educators who teach students in grades 8 through 12 and at the university level. All workshops include free curricular materials.

Are you a member of the public safety community in Colorado, Arizona, Utah or Minneapolis? If so, you can become a certified instructor for the CELL’s Community Awareness Program (CAP). The CAP trains citizens on how to recognize and help prevent terrorism and targeted violence.

Once you complete the CAP Train-the-Trainer course, you will receive your certification to teach the CAP in your community.
