We’re excited to welcome you to the CELL Exhibit. This unique experience chronicles and investigates how hatred can lead to targeted violence and how terrorism has evolved and influences global security. ADMISSION & TICKETS
Yes, there is a fee to visit the exhibit. See admission fees and information here.
The CELL Exhibit reopens May 9, 2024. Advanced ticket purchase is highly recommended. We encourage you to purchase a ticket in advance online for the date and time of your choice. Walk-ins are accepted, pending availability.
We are happy to offer a variety of options for groups. All group tours must be purchased in advance.
Corporate & Adult Groups
Group tours are designed for 10 or more people. Educational programs are available to help enhance your tour.
Youth Education Groups
Education is central to our mission. Bringing your class, group or organization to visit the exhibit is a fantastic way to introduce youth to the complexities of the topic in a thoughtful, interactive experience.
The CELL is proud to support both Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA with our dynamic, engaging clinics. Our experiential learning programs inspire leadership, service, and community engagement. Scouts can earn merit badges through an array of clinics from Emergency Preparedness to Citizenship in the World. See our clinic schedule.

Please note, the exhibit is closed on major holidays, including Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. In addition, the CELL hosts private tours and events, during which times the exhibit is closed to the public. View the complete calendar of holiday closures and scheduled upcoming events.
The CELL Exhibit is located at 99 West 12th Ave, Denver, CO, 80204 in Denver’s Golden Triangle neighborhood. The CELL is part of the museum residence across from the Denver Art Museum’s Hamilton Building. The entrance is located on the plaza, facing west.
To enter the exhibit, walk west on W 12th Ave from the parking garage and make a right turn to head north. Walk on the promenade between the Denver Art Museum’s Frederic C. Hamilton Building and the museum and the CELL will be on your right. If you reach Mad Greens, you’ve gone too far.
If you wish to travel by Denver’s RTD line, the two closest stops are Broadway at W 13th Ave or the stop at 12th Ave & Broadway. If you take the 13th Ave stop, you can head south on Broadway to 12th and turn right to head west on 12th. Make a right onto the promenade as directed above and the CELL will be on your right. If you take the 12th Ave stop, head west on 12th, you will want to get to the north side of the street, you will cross Broadway, and turn right onto the promenade as directed above. The CELL will be on your right.
Rideshare is also encouraged.
Street and metered parking spaces are located within walking distance of the museum. Denver Public Works operates parking options located near the CELL. Recommended parking options are below.
Street Parking
Please check the hour limit on your meter. Most meters accept credit/debit cards, coins and Pay by Phone.
Cultural Center Complex Garage
The garage is located at 65 W 12th Ave, Denver, CO 80204 and is open from 4 AM – 11 PM.
The garage has electric vehicle charging station.
Accessible Parking
Wheelchair-Accessible parking is available in the Cultural Center Complex Garage. Elder and handicap drop off and pick up is available on 12th Avenue and Acoma.
VISITING POLICIES
Photography and videography are not permitted within the exhibit. Please also silence your cell phones.
Strollers are not permitted. We do not offer a storage area for strollers.
No large bags (those 19” tall, 17” wide, and 8” deep) will be permitted in the exhibit. We do not offer a bag/coat check. Please plan accordingly before you visit the exhibit.
No food or drink is permitted within the exhibit.
Smoking, e-cigarettes, and vaping are prohibited in the exhibit.
The exhibit is not recommended for children under 14 years old.
At a moderate, thoughtful pace, most visitors spend 90 minutes at the CELL exhibit.
Pets are not allowed in the exhibit. Service animals, as defined by the ADA, that are trained to perform a specific task related to a person’s disability are allowed.
All sales are final. Admission is limited for each scheduled tour time and therefore refunds will not be given.
EXHIBIT ACCESSIBILITY
The exhibit is accessible to people with disabilities and complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Exhibit entrances, interior travel routes, theaters, and restrooms meet these standards.
The exhibit is ADA-compliant and wheelchair accessible.
Video and interactive components in the exhibit are captioned in English.

The CELL is a Denver based, nonprofit, nonpartisan institute dedicated to championing change in global and community safety.
We offer a unique exhibit, renowned speaker series and training initiatives that increase public awareness and preparedness in the ongoing effort to promote public safety and security.

The purpose of the Counterterrorism Educational Learning Lab’s exhibit is to provide visitors with a comprehensive understanding of counterterrorism efforts, strategies, and challenges. It aims to educate and raise awareness about the complex nature of counterterrorism and its impact on society.

The CELL Exhibit was developed in partnership with preeminent scholars and practitioners in the fields of counterterrorism, national and global security, foreign affairs, and public safety. Learn more about our experts.
The exhibit is designed for a wide range of audiences, including students, educators, researchers, law enforcement professionals, and the general public. It caters to both individuals with a basic understanding of counterterrorism and those seeking in-depth knowledge on the subject. Please note, we recommend visitors be at least 14 year old.
The CELL was established in 2008 to provide a comprehensive look at the threat to terrorism and violent extremism and how individuals can play a role in preventing it, ultimately enhancing public safety.
The CELL’s mission is to educate individuals on today’s most pressing global security issues and empower them to play a role in strengthening community safety to engaging with today’s foremost experts.

Yes, touchless ticketing is available online. You may print your ticket or show it digitally on your mobile device upon arrival.
We have hand sanitizer stations throughout.
If you are not feeling well, we ask that you stay home for the safety of everyone. We can help reschedule your visit at a later time.
We have timed ticket entry to limit capacity within the exhibit.

CAP is a critical prevention and preparedness training on recognizing and reporting suspicious activity to help prevent terrorism, target violence and other criminal activity.
